Final Approved Budget 2011/2012
The Final Budget for the 2011/2012 fiscal year has been approved by the Board of Trustees as a result of the Public Hearing held at the Manhasset Public Library on April 6, 2011.  If you have any questions about this budget, please contact the Clerk-Treasurer at the Village Hall or send an inquiry to webmaster@plandomeheights-ny.gov.

The Village of Plandome Heights is a member of the New York Conference of Mayors ("NYCOM") and the Nassau County Village Officials Association ("NCVOA").  During these challenging economic times, both NYCOM and NCVOA are advocates on on our behalf to help "stop the tax shift" downward to the local level.  NYCOM in particular has launched a public education campaign to defend property taxpayers from tax shifts that may be pushed from the state onto cities and Villages. This campaign will deliver a unified message through a new NYCOM-designed single-issue website, www.stopthetaxshift.org. State and local officials, the media and the public will be able to utilize this site to understand the direct connection between state actions - e.g., state aid and state mandates - and New York's real property tax burden.

Local officials and private citizens will also be able to use the website to deliver this message directly to state leaders, legislators and opinion-makers. NYCOM urges all cities and Villages to put a link to www.stopthetaxshift.org on their municipal websites -- and that is precisely what we've done at VPH.
